Silverland Sil Hotel

We come to saigon 4-5 times a year and have stayed at Silverland and The Myst hotels. We’ve never been disappointed. The Sil feels special and warm. Han at the front desk, the others, and manager Calvin all did their best to make sure we were happy with our rooms and service. The restaurant staff made me feel at home, and the food is excellent. The location is perfect, and the Tết holiday decorations were beautiful.

I stayed six nights at Silverland Sil Hotel, in the Japanese Street area of District 1. It’s convenient for seeing the city on foot, with many popular sights within walking distance. The Silverland Hotel Group has a number of hotels around Ho Chi Minh City, each with its own character. This one draws many visitors from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The daily complimentary afternoon tea, included in the room rate, runs from 14:00 to 16:00. On weekends there can also be live Vietnamese traditional music, a lovely way to take a break between sightseeing and your next plans. Guests get a welcome drink on arrival and a fruit platter in the room at check-in. The hospitality was polite, warm, and attentive. Staff helped with doors, luggage, and requests. Special thanks to Sing Li from the restaurant and Finn, Han, and Keisha at the front desk. They helped with dining recommendations, smooth check-in and check-out, and all sorts of details.

The hotel is clean and smells good throughout, and the maintenance staff keep it in good shape. It’s a quiet place to rest, while still close to popular tourist spots and local places. The price was reasonable even for a same-day booking. Booking websites may offer discounts or free services. Staff were kind and accommodating. Mr. Duong and his team, including Mr. Nicolo, answered our questions and looked after us during afternoon tea. The front-of-house team welcomed us warmly and explained the included amenities and other services available if needed. I’d stay again when I’m back in Vietnam.

My mom and I keep coming back for the afternoon tea. The choices are really good and change each day, with tea served from 14:00 to 16:00. Vi served us and was super cute and attentive. Shin made excellent cà phê sữa da and cà phê bạc xỉu, and also prepared the delicious pastries to order. My mom loved the savory waffle with pork floss, while I was into the sweet chocolate banana one.
