Sunny Serviced Apartment

A spacious apartment in a very central, lively neighborhood, and it was clean at first glance. But there were too many problems for the neat appearance to make up for. The tobacco smell was pervasive in the common areas and lingered in the apartment, apparently from an adjoining smoking room. This also went against the advertised non-smoking criteria. There was a pleasant smell when I arrived, but the ongoing smoke smell, along with the duvet without a cover, made me doubt how clean it really was. The mattress was poor quality, and the duvet was ugly and uncomfortable. The apartment was quiet thanks to good insulation, but the enclosed balcony didn’t block out all the light. Check-in was fast, and the host was available and helpful when I arrived. Communication by WhatsApp was easy, but once I reported problems there was little real help, and replies felt cold or were absent. Wi-Fi was available but slow and unstable. The TV was a decent size, and the air conditioning worked. The bathroom was decent and functional, but nothing special or particularly neat. I wasn’t told where the water came from, so I wasn’t sure if it was drinkable, and there were very few extra amenities. The enclosed balcony did give some extra space, but there were no extras or attention from reception. The decor was very ugly and impersonal. I’d rate it 59/100. The place is well located and spacious for the price, with adequate insulation, but comfort and the overall atmosphere were disappointing. The tobacco smell spoiled the stay, and customer service was almost nonexistent. The price didn’t make up for the lack of care for guests’ comfort.

I’ve stayed here many times because the rooms and location are good. But I had two confirmed bookings through Agoda cancelled at short notice without any reason. The property doesn’t answer calls or emails. Just be aware that your booking may not be honoured.

The room was spacious, very clean, and well kept, with a really comfortable bed. The bathroom was spotless and had strong water pressure, and the kettle was good quality. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We arrived while renovations were going on, and they made up for the disruption with one complimentary laundry service and paid for our ride to the airport. Really grateful for that. We were very happy we chose to stay here and will definitely come back. 😁

The room had enough space and the air conditioning worked well. Reception staff were friendly, and for the price it felt like good value. The bed was uncomfortable, though, and the bedding had an unusual feel instead of the crisp white sheets you might expect in a hotel or apartment.
