The staff were the best part of the stay, so polite and helpful, with the kind of hospitality I’d expect in Osaka. The hotel is a quiet, professional retreat in the middle of the busy city, with Japanese-inspired design and a clean, calm feel. My Deluxe Balcony room was efficiently laid out for two people with large luggage, and had a lovely balcony. There were thoughtful touches like shaving kits and Japanese roasted rice tea (Genmaicha). It’s in the Le Thanh Ton area, known as “Little Japan,” with Japanese restaurants, craft beer bars and local street food like Banh Mi all around. Convenience stores are just steps away, and the Independence Palace and Saigon Central Post Office are about a 20-minute walk. A slice of Osaka in the heart of Saigon. 10/10 for location and hospitality, and I’m already looking forward to the rest of my stay.

The room is small but works really well, with a lovely comfortable double bed, decent bedding and a great TV. The wallpaper was a bit curled, but otherwise it’s a fab little boutique hotel. Breakfast can be brought up to your room, so we had ours in bed. The coffee was excellent too. Would recommend.

The location was a highlight: quiet around the hotel, but only a short walk from lots of restaurants and massage parlors. My room was very clean, comfortable and just like the photos. The staff were incredibly helpful and made me feel welcome. On the first night, the air conditioner wasn’t cooling properly, a speaker didn’t work and a bedside lamp was out. I told the front desk, and they fixed the AC right away, though the speaker and lamp were left as they were. Those minor issues didn’t spoil the stay. The service and location more than made up for them, and I’d happily come back.

The bed is on the floor, which makes the room feel cozy, though it may not work well if you have trouble getting up or prefer a higher bed. The bed itself was very comfortable, and the bathtub was huge. The Japanese-style design is minimal and comfortable, and the hotel was very clean and quiet despite being in the lively heart of District 1, close to shops, restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and polite. I had a relaxing, enjoyable stay and would strongly recommend it to visitors to Ho Chi Minh City. Grab bikes and cars make it easy to get around. Unrelated to the hotel: watch out for airport Grab driver scams. One driver tried to cancel my ride and charge an inflated fare, so stay alert when booking at the airport.

I got a discounted rate, so it was very good value, but the service and cleanliness impressed me regardless. The rooms feel quaint and calming, maybe thanks to the Japanese design, and I really enjoyed my stay. Restaurants and the city center are within walking distance, and there’s a pharmacy around the corner. I definitely recommend it.
