The ground-floor coffee shop could be a handy spot to work creatively or meet friends. We spent one night here in Saigon and were happy with it, especially for the low price. It was dusty and noisy from the street, and you could hear noise from the neighbors too, so keep that in mind. The service wasn't bad, and they asked us how they could improve.
The room was as comfortable as you could hope for, and it felt magical. The bathrooms are a little small, if I had to mention one downside, but the room made it worth it. The staff are super friendly and always try to accommodate guests. The hotel is in an amazing location, just above a great coffee shop!
It's a new hotel and we had a very pleasant stay. There are a few things missing, but the staff were great and everyone paid attention to what we needed. The reception provided whatever we asked for, shared tourist information and spoke perfect English. They were also available on WhatsApp 24/7. Breakfast was just coffee and one bakery item. A wider selection would have been nice.
We stayed for six days and really wanted this to work. The online photos made it look like a cute boutique hotel with potential, but I can't recommend it to anyone unless management changes and staff are retrained. Housekeeping didn't come on any of the three occasions we asked. Staff only made the bed, with no vacuuming, mopping or dusting. Dead bugs remained around the room from the start until checkout, and fruit flies and other bugs were everywhere. We notified staff three times and nothing was done. I later learned housekeeping isn't available every day. The amenities weren't great either: the shower head and shampoo dispenser were broken, with the dispenser fixed only on day 3. We had no hot water until day 3. On my first morning, someone from staff came into my room without warning while I was asleep, saying they needed to fix the door latch. They had no name tag and didn't identify themselves. I was frightened and worried for my safety. They half-apologized and reimbursed us for that night, but not fully. During our conversation, she implied I was stopping them from doing their jobs by making her staff leave while I was sleeping. Huong, the manager, seemed inexperienced and poorly trained, and the rest of the staff didn't seem trained to standard either. The latch wasn't fixed until two days later, so the security concern they initially implied mattered so little to them. Breakfast was included in our booking, but after the first day they refused to give us breakfast coupons. They said Expedia's platform had made a mistake, so they couldn't provide them, even though breakfast was part of the package. At checkout, when we brought up the problems again, staff apologized and said their own manager was young and inexperienced. The only person who seemed truly sorry about the incident was the staff member who had entered our room. He seemed willing to learn from the mistakes and did his best to help, even though he was junior and inexperienced. Management didn't show that same effort. UPDATE: In response to the hotel's comments, I've attached our reservation confirmation. It shows free breakfast included with our Superior room. If Expedia made an error, the hotel should resolve that with Expedia rather than hassle guests. Breakfast was part of what was sold to us and one reason we booked. I do feel for a hotel that had only been open for three months and was making mistakes, but that doesn't excuse what happened, especially alongside the other issues.
Loved the swing and how much care went into the design. It’s a cozy place, only four months old when I stayed, and close enough to walk to all the cool spots. Having coffee downstairs by the room was perfect. Thanks for being so kind. I’ll recommend it to friends coming to saigon!
