The Reverie Saigon

The private Rolls Royce tour was a memorable highlight, and the executive lounge was excellent. We also loved how peaceful the hotel felt, with outstanding food that was beautifully prepared and delicious. From arrival, the property impressed us with its beauty and thoughtful design. The service was polished, professional, and kind, with staff anticipating what we needed while still giving us space. It was an extraordinary stay, and truly one of the best hotels I've visited anywhere in the world.

The staff did everything to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay, and we'll definitely return on our next trip. The breakfast buffet had so many choices you could have all three meals in one sitting. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a luxurious feel and a large bathroom. The building lights up at night, and once inside, the interiors are over the top. Everywhere you look is impressive, even in the elevators. A real wow experience.

We nearly skipped The Reverie Saigon because the photos seemed a bit too much for our taste. The strong reviews and central D1 location persuaded us to give it a try, and we're glad we did. Our Panorama Room looked out over Nguyen Hue Walking Street, with incredible views. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with Frette linens, his-and-hers sinks, and a heated toilet seat. Turndown service brought chocolates each night. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the room was decorated for our arrival. Later that evening, wine and sweets arrived as a lovely surprise for our first night in HCM. The hotel is stunning. Its opulent decor felt elegant rather than overwhelming, and the tile work and marble finishes were incredible. Breakfast paired a wide buffet with an à la carte menu for made-to-order dishes. From check-in staff and breakfast servers to the doormen, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and smiling. After exploring the city in the heat, it was a luxurious haven to return to. We'd happily stay again on our next visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

The bed and linens were the nicest I've ever slept in, and the toiletries were high quality. Breakfast was excellent too, with both buffet and à la carte options, and the staff were all very friendly. My main complaints were the attempt to upsell us to a more expensive room at check-in and the lack of a welcome drink. Even three-star hotels we've stayed at in SE Asia offer those. We were at the Reverie for three days for my husband's retirement and 65th birthday, and I have mixed feelings. After a few hours in our first room, we asked to move because it smelled strongly musty and felt damp, even under the bed covers. We immediately got headaches and sore throats. The front desk helped us look for another room. The first alternative still smelled musty, but we eventually found one that seemed suitable. The new room didn't have an odor, but we stayed congested and had sore throats while spending time in it. Strangely, our symptoms cleared when we left for the day. The stay was okay in the end, but the room trouble makes me doubtful we'll return.
