Tropical House @ Tresor

It’s a good, modern building, but after paying luxury prices, you might expect to use the rooftop with friends at night. Security kicks you out instead.

The location worked well, just over the river from District 1, and the building was clean with a 7-Eleven downstairs. The gym was okay, though small and packed in the mornings. The bigger issue was the booking: we paid for an apartment with a bath and a TV in the bedroom, but were given a different one. The host called it an upgrade, but we didn’t think so. I’m posting this here because on Airbnb the host can simply choose not to publish your review. Other people we talked to said they’d booked one thing and received something else too. Not cool.

I’m a solo traveler on a long stay, and Tresor worked well for me. The design is modern, the flats come in several sizes, from studios to two- or three-bedroom units, and they’re fully furnished. It’s also convenient for getting around: District 1’s central area is about a 5-10 minute walk away. I’d recommend it to travelers.

Waiting for the elevators is awful. It can take at least 10 minutes to go up or down, and there’s no AC in the lobby or the elevators, so the wait is uncomfortable. This still hasn’t been fixed after a week. I’d spend my money somewhere else.
