The rooms are noisy, poorly ventilated, and the staff were difficult to deal with. The walls and doors are so thin that we heard every door shutting and even quiet conversations from nearby rooms. The windows don’t open, and they’re fully transparent, so people in the neighboring building could look in. We had to keep the curtains drawn all the time. We booked 17 rooms for 34 people. Three or four had AC problems. In one case, someone had to move rooms in the middle of the night. After my first complaint, an engineer fixed the filter, but staff blamed us for leaving the door open. When I complained again, I was told someone was coming, but nobody did. I went down to reception myself to get the room changed. It felt like they were hoping I’d put up with the broken AC rather than come downstairs. Staff acknowledged the cooling problem but still blamed guests for open doors. How are you meant to breathe with no AC and no ventilation? When I got frustrated, they threatened to have the police throw me out in the middle of the night. The AC itself is weak. Even in a very small room, it could take close to an hour to reach the set temperature if the door had been opened even once. Staff said it takes 30 minutes to an hour to cool after the doors are shut. The room was also far smaller than advertised: 16 square meters sold as 20. It felt like a dressed-up container, with barely enough space to open luggage. Calling that outright fraud and cheating is how it felt to me. As a vegetarian, I found few breakfast choices. There was some fruit, but it ran out quickly and wasn’t replenished during breakfast hours. After dealing with all this, I checked the reviews and found multiple guests reporting the same problems.

We really appreciated how kind the staff were, even over Tet. Vi Ma was especially helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is well maintained, modern, and western in style, with a good breakfast, plus useful laundry and gym facilities. The washer and dryer each cost 80,000K. Our room was small, but it felt fresh and was very clean. On our second day, our globalist status got us an upgrade to a larger room with a loft bed, which was more comfortable than the side-by-side twin beds. It’s in a pleasant business area, with convenience stores and enough going on without feeling chaotic. Chabad is about a five-minute walk away. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was a highlight each morning, with plenty of Vietnamese food like pho, banh mi, spring rolls, noodles, and pork. The hotel also had a handy little laundry room, and the small gym was enough for a full-body workout, with treadmills, free weights, other machines, and a pull-up bar. Service was attentive at every hour, so thanks to the staff I got to know during my stay. I was glad to find Wink had joined the Hyatt network, and choosing its Saigon location worked out well. It’s central, easy to find, and a little quieter, with very reasonable prices. For the value, Wink is a good addition to Hyatt’s Ho Chi Minh City options. I’d highly recommend it.

The staff and food really made my stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and one woman went out of her way to help me book a trip and get taxis. I can’t praise them enough. Breakfast was one of the best buffets I’ve had, and it was worth getting out of that comfortable bed for. I liked the gym too. For a hotel, it was decent, with enough dumbbells for most people, a Smith machine, a cable machine, two treadmills, and two cross trainers. The rooms are on the small side, though that didn’t bother me. The bed and pillows were so comfortable I wanted to take them home! My main disappointment was that there’s no pool, which I should have checked before booking. It’s also a little far out for my taste, since I like to be able to walk into town. Those were minor issues, though. I’d happily return and recommend it. Thanks so much to the staff. Simon.

Traveling alone, I found the room just right. It might feel small for two people, with limited space for more than one suitcase, and families could find the room cramped. Couples traveling light might be fine with the queen bed, but more than two suitcases would be tight. The staff were wonderful and always ready to help. Special thanks to Trình, who helped me through a financial emergency. That level of support means I’ll keep coming back. Breakfast was delicious, with Vietnamese dishes that changed daily alongside the usual continental options. There’s 24-hour dining and a bar, plus a daily happy hour with classic and creative Vietnamese cocktails. You can buy snacks outside breakfast hours, and there’s a lobby microwave for reheating leftovers. The 24-hour gym has treadmills, free weights, cable weights, and yoga mats. Self-service laundry and a dedicated workspace also made it easy to do laundry and work remotely. I’d definitely recommend it to solo travelers.
