The area was amazing, and the staff were lovely. Food was okay. We stayed in a dorm that was cheap and cheerful, just what we needed. It looked a bit far from things, but having free bikes made getting around super easy.

The place was clean and cozy, and our host had plenty of helpful tips on what to see in Ninh Binh. We spent two wonderful nights at Ninh Hoa Retreat and felt part of the family straight away. Local breakfast was served every morning. If you're after an authentic place to stay in Vietnam, this is it.

The facilities were spacious, newly renovated, and spotless, with all the comfort we needed. Guests can also use free bikes to explore nearby. Right from arrival, it felt like a home away from home. Our hosts were kind and attentive, helping with even little things. They arranged an electric motorcycle rental on site and taxis when we needed to catch a bus. Breakfast was included every morning, with fresh vegetables picked from their garden. We were also invited to share a hot pot dinner, which meant a lot to us. We left with full hearts and memories we won't forget. Thank you to our hosts for the kindness and hospitality, and for making us feel like family. We hope to return someday.

The camping, fishing, and experiment tours left us with great memories. I spent two days and one night at Ninh Hoa retreat and was really impressed. It's right beside the mountains, with fresh air, a wonderful atmosphere, and friendly people. Highly recommend.

The setting is unreal, and the staff were so kind and clearly cared about how our stay went. They went out of their way to look after us. Tours and nature activities were easy to access, and the food was fresh and delicious. I’d come back anytime.
