The manager really came through when we made a mistake booking our bus back to the airport. He contacted people at the bus company, and it was all sorted within 20 minutes, which made the trip much less stressful. We also rented bikes that were ready for us when we got up, and cycling to everything nearby was easy. Walking back from town the following night felt safe and pleasant. We stayed at Rustic Houses on my first trip to Vietnam. After a long day of travel, they welcomed us like family. It’s about a five-minute taxi ride from the main street where we were dropped off, along a winding back road that made it feel like our own private place. A nice mix of privacy and convenience. The clean, luxurious rooms made me want to recommend Rustic Houses all the more.

It’s a little outside town, which makes it a nice place to relax. Breakfast is included, and the owner will do what they can to meet your needs.

The host greeted us each day when we got back, and we could choose breakfast from the menu for the next morning. They don’t speak English, unfortunately, but Google Translate still made it possible to have a nice chat. It’s a small resort with six bungalows, run by a friendly host. The houses have a good bed and a separate bathroom with a very good warm shower. We’d definitely recommend it. Renting a scooter is a good idea for getting around, since the resort is somewhat remote from Tam Coc village, about five minutes away by scooter.
