Tam Coc Homestay

The staff were lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we really couldn’t find anything to fault. The guy at reception was especially sweet and gave me a purse. We’d definitely recommend the place and plan to come back with our families.

Tony invited us to lunch one day, which gave us a chance to learn a little about their culture. He was a very friendly host, though inexperienced in the industry and still willing to learn. It’s a nice, quiet residential area, with spacious, clean rooms and a bath. There’s a bicycle available, and scooters to rent. The beach is 4 km away and the old center is 2 km away.

We liked the setting a lot: the place is spread out among rice fields with mountains around it, and felt really different. It’s a short walk to town through the fields, and there are sweet dogs everywhere. The rooms were sparse and breakfast was just okay. What earned it four stars was the woman at the front desk. She went out of her way to help us with motorbikes and train tickets, and she even found a shirt I thought I’d lost. I really appreciated that.

The family made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make the stay lovely. The breakfast was delicious, and it was great value for money. Our new room was spacious and really comfortable. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot by the mountain and rice fields, and one of the best places we stayed while backpacking in Asia. Thanks for having us, highly recommend!
