Tam Coc Lavender Homestay

Nam was quick to respond and helped me change my booking when my plans shifted. She also pointed me toward some great things to do nearby. The homestay is well placed for exploring everything Tam Coc/Ninh Binh has to offer. She’s incredibly friendly and helpful, and I’d recommend staying here to anyone. You’ll be supporting a truly great group of people.

Breakfast is free, and it was lovely having coffee by the lake while the boats began to head out, just a few steps from the room. Nam and her husband, the owners, are generous, kind, and friendly. The restaurant has a great selection of food and drinks, and the egg coffee is excellent. They offer daily room service, laundry, and Ike rentals. There’s plenty of room to work or journal, and town is a very safe five minute walk away.

The family running the place were so lovely and gave my 10 month old lots of attention. They made food for her as well as serving free breakfast each morning. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and they leave fresh towels and bottled water every day. The pool works well for families: one side is very shallow for little ones, while the deeper side is separated by orange mini buoys. My only small gripe is that there’s a little gap in the window by the bed. During a rainstorm, an item of clothing on the windowsill got a bit damp.

The staff were so helpful with tours, bikes, food tips, and all the random stuff that comes up while travelling. It was easy to get help, and the service had a resort feel while still being warm and family-like. We also loved chatting with the owner, who was relaxed, always smiling, and naturally funny. The room was spotless and spacious, and even the bathroom was huge. Everything looked and felt great. If you’re heading to Ninh Binh, Lavender Homestay is a cozy place with good energy and happy memories. We loved it.
