Tam Coc Luxury Homestay

We loved how quiet it was here, tucked among the limestone formations and away from the dust and bustle of Tam Cốc town. Stores downtown are only a 3-5 minute bike ride away, and the free bikes came with locks. We rode to Mưa Caves and through the rice fields for sunset dinner at one of the many local restaurants. After exploring Ninh Bình, the pool was just right for cooling off in the afternoon. The hosts were so kind, breakfast came quickly, piping hot and safe to eat, and the rooms stayed quiet with very strong air conditioning. I’d happily recommend this place to family and friends.

The quiet setting on a little island in the middle of Tam Coc was lovely. It felt peaceful but was still well connected, with free bikes for the scenic 5-minute ride into the center. We enjoyed that route every time. The family running the hotel were caring and attentive, with fresh tea, sweet drinks and little snacks through the day. They even gave us a snack for our departure. For the price, the hospitality really stood out. We could also order an inexpensive massage to the room, and enjoyed it. Breakfast was à la carte rather than a buffet, with a small range of simple but nicely prepared dishes. It’s very affordable, and we’d definitely come back and recommend it.

The family is what makes this place so special. The mom, daughter, her brother and the kids were all so warm, and we felt it in everything, from the hugs goodbye to the genuine smiles. The garden and pool are beautiful, and borrowing their bikes let us spend days exploring Tam Coc’s rice fields and limestone karsts. Those became some of our best Vietnam memories. We first contacted Tamkok Home Stay when we arrived in Tam Coc lost, in the dark, in more ways than one. They were fully booked, but still found us another place, recommended somewhere they trusted, helped us book it, and made sure we got there safely. Later, when we couldn’t sort out a boat trip, one message did the trick. Mizu was always kind and ready to help with questions or problems. They even came to check on us at the new accommodation they had found for us. We weren’t staying with them, and they still wanted to make sure we were settled and happy. That kind of care feels rare. This was more than a place to sleep, and we left with full hearts. We’ll absolutely be back. If you’re going to Ninh Binh, stay here, or at least let them help you. You won’t regret it.

The people working here were incredible and helped us with everything. Laundry was super fast, and the breakfast came with amazing fruit. I’ll be dreaming about that mango. It’s only a quick bike ride or a 10-15 minute walk to town, but being across the water made it really quiet, away from the tourist noise. Loved staying here.
