Trang An Luxury Hotel

We stayed three days and two nights, and I still rate this place five stars. Le Tan at reception made everything convenient, and the night shift guy was helpful too. The staff are kind, speak very good English, and made us feel welcome. The hotel is spacious, clean and comfortable, in a good location, and the price is affordable with breakfast included. It felt like we got more than we paid for, especially with the service and accommodation. I do have a couple of complaints. We skipped breakfast both mornings because I saw big flies on the food that was about to be served. That put me off eating it. Also, on our second night, people in the rooms next to ours were making a lot of noise after 11 pm. Doors were being slammed and kids were running along the hallway. I was exhausted and couldn't sleep, and when I asked the male receptionist to tell them to quiet down, nothing changed. I hope management enforces quiet hours after 9 or 10 pm. We book hotels to rest, so noise that late is really frustrating. I'm Filipino and know to respect other guests, and I don't understand why some people don't. Despite those issues, I liked the hotel and how warmly the staff welcomed us. Thank you, Ms Le Tan. For food, turn right onto the main road from the hotel, walking or driving. About 500 meters along, look for the local restaurant with a red sign reading NHA HANG; THONG NAM; THINH HOA AM THUC. Their chicken stew is so good. Trang An landscape complex opens at 6 am, so go early and enjoy the view. Entrance is VND200. You can also go to Tam-coc and climb HANG MUA mountain for a breathtaking view.
