Calla Villa Hoi An

The bed was large and comfortable, and the airport transfer they arranged was reasonably priced. They also had the longest lasting hot water and best water pressure we’d experienced in two weeks in Vietnam. Still, the room felt damp, and I want people to know about that. There were mold spots on the walls, apparently from poor airflow and not being able to clear moisture after showers. My husband and I often left the door and window open to air the room as much as we could before heading out. The bidet hose leaked from the wall too. After about 30 seconds of use, somehow the whole bathroom floor was soaked. I wanted to like this hotel more. It was fine for the budget, and the staff were pleasant and helpful, but the room issues took away from the stay.

Yen made our trip feel special. She was so friendly and very professional, from getting us checked in smoothly to sharing thoughtful local recommendations. She went above and beyond and made us feel welcome. The hotel is well located, just a short walk from the Old Quarter, which made it easy to explore. We had a wonderful stay at this local hotel. Thank you, Yen!

There are lots of massage parlors nearby, so you don’t have to go far to soothe your muscles after a long day of touring. The location is convenient, only a few minutes’ walk from the old town, but outside the crowded area. The room was big enough and the water pressure was good. I was on the 4th floor. There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues, but they do have a lift for bags. Staff were helpful and responded promptly. Definitely good value for money.

Muoi was a wonderful host and helped us get great deals when booking taxis. We couldn’t have asked for a better deal, honestly. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the Old Town is very close, within walking distance.
