Mornings on the balcony with coffee and a book were a treat, with those peaceful padi fields right in front of the resort. I loved how quiet, clean, and close to nature the place felt, even though it’s a little outside the main town. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and the bed was so comfortable. That bathtub gets amazing natural light too, great for morning photos. Nghe Garden Resort, Hoi An is a lovely calm base for digital nomads or solo travellers who want to focus, think, and slow down.

My check-in was a strange start. I had to phone the property myself and wait quite a while before anyone arrived. No one spoke English, and nothing was explained, whether about the room or the facilities. The room looked old and neglected, and it badly needs maintenance and repainting. The walls had stains and damp marks, with black mold in several places, particularly by the windows and air conditioner. Exposed wires came out of the wall, which seemed unsafe and unacceptable in a hotel. In the bathroom, the shower curtain was torn and hanging loose, and it clearly needs replacing. The whole experience gave me the impression that the hotel doesn’t care about its guests or the state of the rooms. The photos show what it was really like. I don’t recommend staying here.
I got money back after telling them I couldn’t stay, then quickly found a hotel for the night so I’d have time to look for somewhere better for a longer stay. The bathroom was open to the room, and after about an hour I had really bad brain fog that I thought was from mold coming out of it. I didn’t feel able to stay at all. I’d booked from home because the reviews were good. The area seemed quiet and the place looked beautiful when I arrived. My room was at the top of the second floor, with no elevator, and the fan and AC were already running. At first it looked nice, but while unpacking I noticed it wasn’t well maintained. It’s a shame, because it looks beautiful.
Worst hotel stay I had in Vietnam. The rooms were damp, dark, and smelled bad, nothing like the photos. The staff weren’t welcoming or very helpful. Avoid it.
A calm, relaxing property with a beautiful pool and lovely sunset views. We stayed with small children and used taxis, which usually arrived in about 2-3 minutes. Restaurants, spas, and grocery shops are within walking distance too. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. We spent a month travelling around Vietnam, and this was one of the best places we stayed.
