Baloo Hostel

We stayed at Baloo Hostel for a week, and by the time we left it really felt like home. Thinh and Binh are passionate, welcoming hosts who want guests to enjoy both the hostel and the city. They’re always smiling and happy to share tips or help with planning and bookings. The rest of the staff follow their lead and are helpful and welcoming too, especially Thu. Everything was new and sparkling clean, in both the dorms and the private rooms. We tried both. Breakfast is included and very good, especially the fried eggs. The coffee is great too, though it isn’t part of the free breakfast. The location makes it convenient to explore the Old Citadel and enjoy the food scene and nightlife. They also rent bikes and have arrangements with several tour operators. We couldn’t recommend Baloo Hostel more. Thanks, Thinh and Binh, you’re the best!

This feels more like a good hotel than a hostel. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the individually cooked breakfast was tasty. Everyone was nice and eager to help, and the staff spoke English very well. Definitely recommended!

The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious enough. The location is ideal, close to both the main street and the walking street. The only problem was the air conditioning on the third floor. It didn’t work well in either the dorms or the private room, so we used a fan with the door open for fresh air.

The bathroom is quite small, so everything gets wet when you shower, though we didn’t mind much. The room was very comfortable, the shower was amazing, and there were English TV channels. Breakfast and the location were good too. The girl at reception was super friendly and helped us book a bus ticket.
