The shower had the best water pressure I’ve had in two weeks of hotels, and the room was clean and nice. There are good restaurants just around the corner, and it’s about a half-hour walk to the imperial palace. The location worked well for us. The only downside was construction next door that woke me up, though that wasn’t the owners’ fault. This lovely family welcomed us with a cold drink when we arrived and always greeted us with a big smile coming and going. Everyone spoke enough English to have a conversation. They’ve clearly put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome.

I was woken at 7:30 by drilling and shouting, which was pretty annoying when I wanted to sleep in. The staff were very sorry about it. Apart from that, the place was clean and well presented, with a good bathroom, fridge in the room, working air-con and really good WiFi. Comfortable, nice staff, fairly good location, and an amazing price. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in Vietnam so far, and I’d recommend it. Too bad about that wake-up call.

The family can arrange activities and tickets. I booked a tour with them to visit the Tombs in the area, and our guide was lovely and gave us lots of explanations. I loved staying here. Everyone in the family was genuinely friendly, the room was spacious and cleaned every day, and the internet worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. This place is a gem.

The breakfast was the best we’d had in the previous seven days. Thanks, and all the best! We were very pleased with our two-night stay. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The room smelled a little musty, but that seems to be an issue everywhere in Vietnam. At least it was clean and had all the amenities.

I spent one night here and couldn’t stand being in the room. The hotel is old, and there’s a narrow flight of stairs up to reception. The room was poorly maintained and the air-con was noisy. Cleaning was the worst part. I hadn’t checked closely when I arrived, but when I came back I found bits of food on the table with ants crawling over them. There was trash under the bed, too, and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for at least a month. How does this place get all these positive reviews?
