Hue Sweethouse 2 Homestay

The staff, Moon, Lisa and Rosy, were so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was great, especially the morning yogurt and fruit bowl with cereal, which we looked forward to every day. It’s not fancy and has more of a backpacker feel. Our room was small but fine. The shower drain backed up and left some water on the bathroom floor, and we had a very cute tortoise living on our patio.

Moon was lovely throughout our stay and made sure everything was as we expected. When we left, she walked us to the car and helped with our luggage. We even got a free upgrade to a spacious room with a bathtub and a great balcony view of the Perfume River. We only stayed one night, but this was our favourite place on our Vietnam trip. It’s cozy and close to the main street, yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. There’s also a very cute, friendly dog living there. If I come back to Hue, I’ll definitely book here again. ☺️

Lisa and Moon were so helpful and friendly. They messaged us on WhatsApp before we arrived to check in, and arranged a car for our sightseeing day. When the fan wasn’t working properly, they replaced it within minutes. After checkout on our last day, they even let us use the shower and towels before our overnight train, which was much appreciated in Hue’s heat. And little Batman deserves a mention too, he really made us feel at home. The homestay is calm and comfortable despite the busy city, down a small side street. You can easily walk to the main walking street and riverside, and take a Grab to the major sights. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were good. Breakfast was very good too.

Rosey, Moon, Lucy and Lisa were the highlight of my stay. They were all so welcoming, kind, and helpful. Rosey even checked in on me after I’d left Hue to see how I was doing and whether I needed anything. Batman, their adorable poodle, was a wonderful host too! My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a balcony overlooking a charming alley. The homestay is near the walking streets, cute cafes, and great restaurants. They arranged a wonderful motorbike tour for me, where I saw two royal tombs and a really cool abandoned water park. If you go, ask for Quoc, he was absolutely wonderful. I’d definitely plan to stay here again if I return to Hue.
