Jade Scene Hotel

The staff really went above and beyond. They arranged a boat trip down the river and a van for our group to continue on to Hoi An during our Vietnam trip. We also had a van organized through the hotel to visit the historic sites by the river, which was very easy. Breakfast was wonderful. In July 2025, we made good use of the rooftop pool during the summer heat, when it was too hot to explore. The rooms were very nice, and from the narrow street there were restaurants and cafes all around, with plenty of places to walk to for a meal. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay again.

The staff are the stars here. Everyone was incredibly friendly and keen to fix any problems, and Peter Quang did a great job driving us on a half-day private tour. Our scheduled pickup didn’t work out, though. The location is handy, with lots of restaurants nearby, and the room was comfortable, with a great bed, shower and big TV. We were first put in a nice room on the seventh floor, but the pool and bar above it made it incredibly noisy, so they moved us to another room. Noise carries through the hallways too. Closing all the stair doors might help, since it feels a bit like an echo chamber. There are also a few dogs barking in buildings a few doors down, sometimes constantly, day and night. That’s not the hotel’s fault, but it’s worth knowing. Breakfast is very basic: eggs made to order, one soup, some Western sides and other random items left out without proper temperature control. The serving tongs are placed on the fruit, where people touch them, exposing the fruit to bacteria.

There are some good local eateries nearby, a mini mart across the road, and the Huong River promenade is about 2 km away. It’s right beside the walking street district, so the location worked well for us. The rooftop bar and pool were a lovely place to cool down after exploring, with several spots to sit and relax. We stayed two nights. From the moment we arrived, the staff were great about sharing information on the accommodation and local attractions. The rooms were lovely, with a really good shower and strong water pressure. Housekeeping was available daily if you wanted it. Laundry and minibar prices were quite reasonable. They also offer massages, though we didn’t get a chance to try one. Thanks for a great stay. We’d recommend it and hope to come back for the fantastic hospitality.

Breakfast was a real highlight for me. I’m vegetarian and prefer Vietnamese food, and each morning the kitchen made me fresh, delicious local dishes. There was plenty, sometimes more than I could finish. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, and everything seemed well maintained. I had nothing to complain about and felt relaxed from the start. What I’ll remember most, though, is how warm and caring everyone was. You could tell the staff genuinely wanted guests to have a good stay. I felt very well looked after at Jade Scene Hotel in Hue and would happily stay again. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful visit!
