The Mondial hotel is about a half-hour walk from the city centre, mostly beside the river, so having the two free bicycles they offered us was great. The hotel was comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of choice. We were the first guests of the New Year, and manager Tung and the staff gave us such a warm welcome, including flowers and drinks. I’m sure lots of guests will have a happy year here. Happy New Year!

The elevator gets really hot in the daytime and moves pretty slowly. Apart from that, it was a good experience: comfortable beds, a decent breakfast, and good value for the price.

We had dinner at the ninth-floor dining area and enjoyed the city view. It’s a lovely spot at night, and the food is reasonably priced. The hotel is lovely, and the staff were very attentive.

The staff and location made the stay worthwhile, especially if you’re out all day. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The beds were hard, though, and the pool wasn’t much good. It sits out front on the third floor and isn’t the nicest looking. The bathtub kept losing water, and with the hot water being limited, I couldn’t fill it properly. The gym was only a treadmill and a few bikes, which didn’t really seem worth advertising as a gym.

The breakfast buffet had lots to choose from, with an egg station, hot and cold food, and fruit. There’s also an ATM in the lobby, which was a big plus. We were only there one night and didn’t use much else. Our room was spacious and clean, with only a slight damp smell from the bathroom. The place could generally use some updating.
