We only stayed because it was late and the guesthouse we had booked had double booked and no space, so they brought us here. The room was dirty and smelled damp, with mold on the walls. The so-called bathroom was just a boxed-off area in the room with no ventilation. The shower sprayed over the sink, so you couldn't even shower properly, and there were no towels. I've stayed in budget accommodation plenty, but this is beyond a joke. A bit of hygiene goes a long way!

The air conditioner wasn't working when we came back late from dinner. The manager first handed us another remote, then came upstairs to look at it and seemed very upset. By then we were frustrated too. We asked for a working air con in another room and some money back because what we'd been given wasn't what we paid for, and there clearly wasn't a deluxe room. He got really mad and shouted at us. It was scary, and I really thought he might become violent, especially since we're two girls. In the end he put us back in our first room and gave us 50'000 dongs back. The next day I realized I'd left something in the other room, but the people there that morning couldn't understand what I was saying. We booked a deluxe room with a King size bed on Agoda. When we arrived, the manager was surfing on Facebook and chatting and didn't pay attention to us at first. He didn't seem to have a registration for us, and asked what we were supposed to pay. Then he quoted a price in dongs much higher than it was in dollars. We disagreed and eventually paid the room's actual price, 7 dollars, 150'000 dongs. The room still wasn't what we'd booked: no King size bed, and some other items from the Agoda description were missing. We went downstairs, and after he ignored us again at first, I finally got him to change the room. The new one still wasn't what we'd paid for, but at least it had two beds. We've been travelling in Asia for more than a month and haven't been demanding about accommodation, but this was really the worst place ever. The room wasn't just unclean, it was unsanitary, and the bed sheets obviously hadn't been changed for a long time. I do not recommend this place. You can find much better.

The owners were lovely and welcoming, and I enjoyed my stay in Hue. The rooms are basic but good value for money, and breakfast was a great bonus. There are also some great little coffee shops close by, in a great location.

The price may be good, but the room was terrible and the staff even worse. My family regretted staying here on the first day of our trip. Don't ruin your trip by choosing this place.
