Thanh Lich Royal Boutique Hotel

The corner room was the best I've had in a long time, with full-height windows on two sides and curtains on double rods that crossed over to block about 99% of the light. Dark wood and stylish decor continued inside the room. The hotel's entrance also made a strong impression, with hardwood, gold details, and staff in uniform creating a grand feel. One of the most beautiful hotels I've seen in ages.

I found this place after my first hotel didn't work out. I arrived about ten minutes after booking, tired, and they greeted me warmly with refreshing tea. The staff were incredible, and the breakfast buffet was one of the most extensive I've seen. The mattress was medium-firm and very comfortable. The pool was surprisingly cold, and the walls between rooms are a bit thin. I found that out when the neighbors got noisy. Still, I'll stay here again next time I'm in Hue.

The staff were very polite and did what we asked, though the problems we ran into seemed outside their control. The hotel was clean and fine, but there are better-value options in Hue, I think. The WiFi was the biggest frustration. From our room on the 9th floor I had to go to the lobby or corridor to connect, and the signal kept dropping while I was trying to plan and book things. I ended up buying an eSim. The so-called business facilities were no better: the old PC ran a ten-year-old operating system, and outdated software blocked many of the flight check-in sites I needed. We skipped the spa because it was much more expensive than at other similarly rated hotels we'd stayed in. The pool didn't feel relaxing, with its odd layout beside the kids' playroom, and it looked better in the photos. Breakfast was just okay, with plenty of choices, but tour groups made the restaurant busy and sometimes noisy.

Giang Huong deserves a special mention for her warm welcome and attention to detail. The service from the whole team was outstanding from the moment I arrived, and housekeeping kept my room spotless with daily cleaning. I spent two lovely nights at Thang Lich Royal Boutique Hotel. The immaculate, well-appointed room was a comfortable place to return to after exploring Hue's historic sites. Breakfast was another highlight, with fresh, delicious local and international dishes and plenty of variety. I'd highly recommend Thang Lich Royal Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Hue, and I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Vietnam.
