Va Riverside Retreat

Mimi was wonderful. She lent me her scooter so I could visit the abandoned water park around the corner, and invited me to join the family’s Tet meal. I felt welcome throughout my stay. Not all the staff speak English, but that adds to the authentic feel. Cảm ơn Mimi & Co.! This lovely little place is still fairly new and feels like a hidden gem. It’s a bit outside the city centre, but easy to reach by rental scooter or Grab. Everything is peaceful and spotless, and the host family are incredibly kind and welcoming.

The room was beautiful and very clean, with no bugs or odd stains, and I had a wonderfully peaceful stay. Staff were kind and attentive, checking in regularly to see if I needed anything. When I mentioned that the axle on my rented scooter seemed a little misaligned, they quickly brought me another one that was perfect. The food was delicious, and I’d recommend including breakfast since the property is a bit farther from Imperial City. It’s closer to the tombs and abandoned water park, among other places. Renting a scooter makes it easy to get around Hue. I had a really relaxing, amazing stay.

It’s such a quiet, peaceful place, and the sunset here is amazing. The manager and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back with family and friends.
