Kontum Home Sweet Homestay

I loved it here. There are both dorms and private rooms, a lovely host, a great shower, and a beautiful green common area.

The location wasn't ideal, around 5 kilometers from the center, but the nightly price was very decent. I stayed two nights in a four-bed mixed dorm and enjoyed it. The place is beautiful, with lots of plants and a really lovely garden. The dorm was spacious enough and had a desk and chair. There are two shared toilets and two bathrooms for all the rooms, about three private rooms and two mixed dorms, but that wasn't a problem. Everything was very clean. You can order food from the woman who runs the place. The prices were reasonable for most things, though I thought breakfast was a little expensive.

The rooms were clean, and the hot shower was great. The lady was lovely and cooked for guests at a reasonable price. I only stayed one night, but really enjoyed it and would come back.

I wouldn't recommend this homestay based on my experience. I wanted to book the full four-bed dorm for five people, so I called to check. The owner first agreed to an extra bed for a fee and quoted the same price as the booking system. But when I followed up by text, she changed her mind and said April 27 was during a Vietnam holiday, though the holiday is actually April 30 and May 1. The price then went from 70,000 VND to 100,000 VND. I asked why the booking system showed another price and what would happen if someone booked that date through it. She said she'd charge an extra fee when they arrived. The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional.
