Greenfield Ecostay

We came here to get away from town and relax, and it was just right. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with great views, and the shower had hot water and strong pressure. You can spend the day on a comfy lounger by the pool and watch buffalo go past, or borrow one of the free bicycles. It’s about 5 km from town, but Ngan can help arrange cave trips and jungle activities, or you can sort things out yourself. She’s very friendly and knows the area well. Breakfast changes each day and was always tasty; dinner was good too, with options for different diets. Ngan also pointed me to Lotus, a very good restaurant about 2 km away, an easy walk. She and her husband Rene have made a peaceful, comfortable place overlooking the paddies. A great stay for some rest and quiet. 10/10.

The best part is being outside, with such beautiful grounds and a great pool. The beds are comfortable too, while the simple rooms feel mainly meant for sleeping. The owners are a very down-to-earth couple who make a point of connecting with guests, remembering names, asking about them, and sharing their own story. There’s no set menu, but they’ll make what you like if they can. Renee and his wife are as kind as other reviews say. I hope to be back in Vietnam soon, and would stay here for at least a week next time.

We kept ordering the bo la lot because my family loved it so much. Breakfast was included and very good, and we also had lunch and dinner here. The owners were lovely, friendly, and accommodating, and we had some really nice conversations with them. The garden and pool are beautiful, and the dogs and cats were a fun part of the place. Our room was clean and spacious enough to lay out three large suitcases without a problem. It was a peaceful break from the city, while still being a convenient distance from the Phong Nha caves. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

After four days hiking through the jungle and caves, I wanted a quiet place to rest, and had a really relaxed stay here. Rene was a fantastic host, incredibly helpful and full of local knowledge. The rooms were cozy, the views were amazing, and the pool was beautiful and clean. It had everything I wanted.
