Lak Tented Camp

The room and bed were clean and comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were good. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and unique, with a great location. The staff really do their best to help and look after you. Very good value for the price.

Lu the camp dog was adorable, and the farm-fresh food was a treat. We had starry skies, lovely views over the lake, and warm M'nong hospitality. It's peaceful and sensory, with nature and culture at the heart of it. Community-led sustainable tourism done right. Highly recommend.

Our daughters were genuinely scared to sleep in their tent. We asked several times for another one, but the staff refused. Their eventual answer was to put two single beds in the parents’ tent. So five of us ended up squeezed into one small tent with four beds, and none of us got any real sleep. The food was dry and tasteless, served in insulting portions, the service was poor, and the torn tents couldn't be closed, leaving us with insects all night. Breakfast was bad too, and even the coffee machine was broken. We paid a lot for this experience, which felt like a rip-off. I'm editing my review because of the hotel's reply. They said they refunded us for that awful night. They did give a refund, but it was only 50% of the cost. After such a dreadful experience, I expected a place with customer service to refund the full amount. They disagree, and that's between them and their conscience. If you have any self-respect, or respect for your family, do everything you can to avoid this place.

We really loved the morning atmosphere, cool and windy, with such a pure feeling to it. The camp is tucked into lush greenery around a tranquil lake, a quiet break from city life. We could explore the area on guided hikes, river boat trips, or bikes, or just sit with coffee on our private balcony and take in the views. In the evening, though, it felt a little scary with no lighting. The walk from our tent to the restaurant wasn't safe for kids on those uneven stairs, even with the flashlights they gave us.
