Reception staff were attentive, very helpful, and clearly went out of their way. Their service deserves five stars, and the rooms were fine too. The rest of the stay was bad enough that I won’t come back. Housekeeping came into our room two mornings in a row without knocking or warning, while we were in bed. We complained the first day, but it happened again. The glasses and cups weren’t washed or replaced; they were put back with dried coffee still in them. A housekeeper also asked us to hand laundry directly to him and pay him, saying he wouldn’t get paid if we called the front desk. That felt a little sketchy. The fire alarm malfunctioned at random all three days, including four times between 8:30pm and 10:45pm on the last night. Nobody explained what was happening. I had to walk down four flights to the desk to find out, then tell the dozens of guests outside their rooms, unsure whether to evacuate, that it was a malfunction. It’s not reassuring to hear the fire alarm system isn’t working. I won’t stay here again, ever.

I’m giving two stars for the receptionists, who were very friendly and spoke good English. My 500k room had no windows, smelled a bit odd, and had a very weak air conditioner. There was also a lot of construction, so you had to walk around people plastering the walls and stairwells.

Within our 10-day stay, the elevator shut down and left our parents stuck inside for half an hour. There was no backup generator or safety precaution, and even the call button was disabled. Luckily, we were nearby. Some rooms also had air conditioners that didn’t work. Instead of moving us to the next available room while it was fixed, they said it would cost 100,000 more and sent us to their partner hotel cuu long. That hotel had no windows, bottled water, heater, or working hot water, and the walls were covered in mold and footprints. After checkout, they charged another 150,000, saying the coke would spoil in the fridge and that once I put it in, I had to buy it. I ended up with a bag of 10 drinks and 150,000 less in my wallet. Long xuyen and its partner cuu long next door seem very inexperienced at running a hotel chain. I don’t recommend either.

Travelers beware. My mother’s expensive makeup and skin creams were stolen from her room. The hotel was unhelpful and seemed unconcerned. I would never recommend this place.
