The room is a very basic place to sleep and have a hot tub. There’s no room service, and while some basic food is available, don’t expect a proper restaurant serving local meals. If comfort is what you’re after, this won’t be the place for you. The garden on the mountain slope is lovely, though, and the view over Moc Chau town and the surrounding mountains from the observation deck is worth seeing at both sunrise and sunset. The location and scenery are terrific. I can see potential for the place to reach a three-star level, but right now it doesn’t have the service mindset or system you’d expect of a hotel, so I can’t rate it by hotel stars.

I went in January and found it fresh and quite nice. The homestay is up a mountain, so be ready for a climb, about 500m on a very steep slope. The effort gets you a lovely place to stay and a warm-hearted landlord. They can also take you trekking in a beautiful plum valley. Prices are acceptable, with plenty of choices. For a group, a BBQ dinner at 6usb per person is a good option.

Our bungalow was set against the mountain, and from this centrally located homestay we could enjoy Moc Chau from sunrise through sunset, chase clouds, and look for wild flowers. The view is spectacular and the owner is incredibly kind. We had a lovely holiday in Moc Chau town, and this place was a big part of it. One of the best homestays I’ve stayed in in Vietnam. Highly recommended.
