An Hoa

The reception ladies were wonderful. They helped us plan trips and arrange rides wherever we wanted to go. When my boyfriend got badly sunburned, one of them even brought him an Aloe Vera leaf from the market the next day. Such a thoughtful thing to do. We’d chat with them each morning over the herbal tea they offered, and they made us feel welcome. The location’s great too, just around the corner from a beautiful beach and lots of restaurants, and it’s good value. An Hoa looked a little rough from outside, like other vitnemese hotels, so at first I worried about safety and cleanliness. I’m from Europe, where standards are different, but the room turned out clean and comfortable. It’s just a bit old fashioned.

The in-house bike tour seemed quite expensive, but there were plenty of brochures at reception to help pick activities. I stayed two nights last May. The room was clean and the service excellent. Ms. Thi Mai at reception was always smiling and helpful with recommendations. I’d highly recommend it for budget travellers.

The receptionist is a lovely lady and gave good advice. An Hoa hotel is very near the beach, which makes it a nice place to stay. The rooms are small and could be cleaner, and things already look a bit rusty.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The staff were happy, but the bed was really, really hard. The air conditioning didn’t work because staff cut off the main power during the stay. Power to the room also gets cut when you leave, so the fridge heats up. After returning to the room, you have to wait 20 minutes for warm water because the power was cut. Ventilation is poor, there’s a construction site next door, and you can hear people speaking in the neighboring room very clearly. The picture shows a useless air conditioner.
