Bao Long Hotel

I stayed for two days, and this so-called hotel was a horrible experience. The AC barely worked, so the room felt like a sauna. The housekeeper was strange: she came into my room without permission but didn't clean it. The sheets were very dirty, with some blood on them, and they were never changed during my stay. I left water bottles on the desk, but when I came back, they were all gone. There was no hot shower water at all during my two days, even though the receptionist had promised it would be available at check-in. When I asked for help, the receptionist just reluctantly apologized and didn't check the problem, try to fix it, or explain why there was no hot water. The elevator was also defective. On the first day, while going down to the reception about the hot water, I got trapped inside. My friend asked the receptionist to help, but he did nothing to solve it or calm me down. It was narrow and dark, the ventilation was poor, and I had trouble breathing. He spent almost ten minutes searching his phone contacts, without calling the police. Luckily, a Vietnamese guest who spoke English called the police and kept me reassured with updates about the rescue. After I got out, I asked whether the elevator broke often. The receptionist said yes, so I walked for the rest of my stay. If you get stuck in there, all you can do is keep your fingers crossed. Maybe consider it if you want a cheap place and expect nothing. I won't stay there again. Even one star feels too generous.
