We left and found somewhere else after the reception guy told us there was no buffet breakfast, even though that’s what had been advertised. He first said that because there were few guests, they were making just one dish per person. My wife said we’d stay if they gave us a discount, and after he called the owner, he said they’d make eggs and salad too. He asked us to pay before we’d even unloaded our bags, after we’d ridden for three hours in the rain. When my wife said we’d pay after coming back downstairs, he said he’d keep our passports until payment. As far as I understand, they aren’t allowed to hold guests’ documents. Don’t pay before seeing the room, or you might feel trapped into staying.

The photos are fake, and the place wasn’t what they showed. It felt like a hotel falling apart, not the Australian Meriton. The floor was lifting, the bathroom flooded every time I showered, and the pool was dirty. It was noisy, with no real soundproofing, and staff were rude and didn’t speak a word of English. They didn’t make up the room or replace the toilet paper, and there was no shower gel. Terrible breakfast, too. I moved to another 3 star hotel down the road and it was so much better. Absolute rip off.

The room equipment was old, and the appliances worked only sometimes. The pool water was dirty too. Renting a motorbike through the hotel cost more than renting outside, and they didn’t have enough bikes, so we went elsewhere. We then had trouble with the bike owner and asked the hotel to check its outside camera, but the receptionist refused, saying the incident had nothing to do with them. The way they treated hotel guests was extremely bad.

The staff were really friendly, and I appreciated the service they gave us. The hotel was clean and very good.
