Duy Huy Hotel

The bed was really comfortable and the staff were friendly. The area had a local feel, and I didn’t see a single tourist around there. I’d heard some places do this, but I wasn’t comfortable having to leave our key when we went out. They also shut a gate at night across the hotel entrance, so you have to ring the bell and the owner comes to let you in. He sleeps in the lobby, and all the lights are off after a certain time. The beach wasn’t as nice as the one over the bridge, but it was empty, so there were no crowds. My husband and I stayed two days, then went back to the area we’d been in before. If you’re looking to stay in this area, though, I’d recommend the hotel.

I stayed here in April 2018, when the hotel was newly built. It was very clean, had a nice breeze, and offered free washing downstairs. The furniture was oddly placed, but it was a nice place away from the Hon Chong crowd, and cars could get into the parking area. I had a motorbike accident just before flying home to USA and hurt my leg. The owner had been an army medic and cleaned my foot, helping me take care to avoid infection. I’m forever grateful. He doesn’t look friendly at first, but he’s very helpful.

The beach is close by, and the service was friendly!
