I paid a full month's rent in advance plus a deposit, and a week before leaving I arranged with the landlord and rental agent for my friend to take over the final two weeks. They both agreed there'd be no problem. I moved out, paid for another place, and told the landlord my friend would arrive the next day. I offered to have my friend use the paid-for time while I got my deposit back later and a new agreement was made. When my friend arrived, the landlord suddenly canceled the arrangement and refused to return the roughly $100 for those two weeks. He rejected my compromise, and my friend decided not to move in after seeing what happened. The landlord kept the money for time I had paid for but neither I nor my friend could use, while the apartment was left clean and available to rent again. I lost money on the new place too, since that payment was non-refundable. The worst part is that he waited until the last minute to cancel, when I could no longer stay out the original rental period because I'd already paid elsewhere. I felt deceived: he'd received the full month's payment but wouldn't provide the agreed stay for either of us during those final two weeks. At first the landlord seemed friendly, but that impression didn't last. During our second move-in, his assistant yelled at us for arriving early, without a good reason. I strongly wouldn't recommend this place because the host was willing to break our agreement and it left me facing a significant financial loss. I feel like he scammed me out of $100.

My sister was returning from abroad and looking for a place, so I found this homestay and booked and paid through Agoda. She asked me to call for more details. I explained briefly, but the woman who answered said it was a long-term rental and hung up before hearing the specifics or answering my questions. I called again and she hung up again. The service was very rude. We'd already booked and paid; I just wanted to prepare properly. If a guest has an important issue to sort out, who are they supposed to contact, and what kind of service can they expect?

It's peaceful enough for a relaxing stay, yet the beach is only about a five minute walk away. Along the way there are plenty of places to eat, including well-known seafood restaurants in Nha Trang, and you can feel the lively seaside city atmosphere. The homestay is newly built, with spacious facilities, and the receptionist was cheerful and very enthusiastic. The price and quality are pretty balanced.
