Iconique Hotel Nha Trang

The staff were a real asset. They did everything they could to make our stay the best possible, and I can't recommend the hotel highly enough. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a luxurious finish. The dining area was lovely, and breakfast was varied and high quality. The beach, restaurants, and bars were all within a minute's walk. We loved every minute in this beautiful hotel.

We had a very pleasant first visit to Nha Trang and stayed at Iconique hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful. On Woman's Day, they gave roses to all the female guests, which was such a sweet surprise. Breakfast was delicious, especially the sweet pastries. The location was okay, with the beach and Vincom plaza nearby. Gold Coast was a 20-30 minute walk. The pool isn't heated, so it may be too cold for swimming on a cloudy day. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The room was cozy, clean, and well maintained, and so was the modern hotel. Breakfast was varied and nice, and our 15th-floor room was surprisingly quiet even with constant partying on the street below. The location was good. Still, we had a bad experience that kept me from giving a better rating. The day before checkout, room service didn't leave all the usual towels. I'd read on Google that this could happen, so I went straight to reception to ask for the missing ones. At checkout the next day, they claimed we were missing towels. Luckily someone confirmed we'd asked for them the day before, so we weren't charged. I've read Google reviews saying people were charged for towels they never received, so be careful.

The only staff member who seemed to smile and care was the breakfast egg cook. The bed was excellent, the place looks new, and the entrance is beautiful and modern. The pool was freezing, though pleasant. As for the rest, we can't understand the 4.9/5 rating. For us it was 1/5. There was no welcome or explanation at arrival, the elevator key card didn't work, the phone to reception was broken, and the minibar was empty. The café/bar was always deserted and had no cocktails unless you asked reception to send someone. The gym had no air conditioning, so exercising in the heat was impossible. We called reception twice and were told staff would come, but nobody did, so we had to go downstairs ourselves. Staff were generally unfriendly and often argued in front of guests. Managers snapped at employees and gave us rude looks when we asked for simple help. From about 6 PM every evening, a karaoke bar across the street made it extremely noisy, even on the 20th floor. Housekeeping came only in the afternoon, without warning. Laundry was very expensive and charged per item. Across the street, they do folding and washing for 15,000 VND/kg. The hotel had only been open two months. We read the reviews carefully and can't explain the glowing ratings. There must be a lot of fake reviews. After two months traveling in Vietnam, this was the worst place we'd stayed.
