Aurora Serviced Apartments

If you’d rather have a serviced apartment than an Airbnb, this is a nice place in a great location.

The receptionists were great, but I found the manager much less convincing. When I complained the next morning, he stayed out of sight and spoke only through the young female receptionist. There’s construction right beside and physically attached to the apartments, going on day and night. At 1am, the banging, clanging, and scraping was deafening. I wasn’t told beforehand about the 24-hour work, and they gave me no refund, not even a partial one. I’d avoid staying here for now, unless that kind of noise is what you’re looking for. If you’ve already booked, I’d consider somewhere else.

We had a great stay and got good value for our money. The room was very clean and looked recently built or renovated, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Having a free laundry room was a big help after a few weeks of traveling. The location is very central. We could walk to places like the war museum and downtown Ho Chi Minh City, with plenty of bars and restaurants just a short stroll away. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting HCMC.

The housekeeping woman was especially kind and helpful. I never learned her name, but she looked older, maybe around 60, and couldn’t speak English. She helped move my luggage and cleaned my room while I was out. I really appreciated her. My stay was very good. The place was comfortable and worked well for families as well as people staying alone. All the staff were nice and friendly. I’ll come back next time. See you soon from America.
