We checked in during the afternoon and got a card, but no one told us the hotel would lock up at 11 pm. When we came back at night, there was no way in and nobody seemed to care. It felt like a ghost check-in, with no information from reception and a surprise locked door. If you go out after 10 pm, you may have a problem. I raised it with them the next day, but they offered no solution for future guests. It felt like being on parole or a teenager expected home early.

The room was in unacceptable shape. The sheets had visible stains and smelled bad, as though they hadn't been changed or washed properly. The bathroom smelled too, and the toilet wasn't properly cleaned. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. I had already paid through Agoda and had a clear official receipt, but the hotel claimed we'd canceled the booking while we were staying there. They demanded payment again. The staff and manager were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, pointing at us and speaking aggressively and insultingly as if we were trying to stay without paying, which wasn't true.

I'd heard complaints that the hotel locks its doors at 11 pm, that staff are rude, and that guests didn't get rooms despite paying. I booked ahead and stayed for 10 days without experiencing any of those problems. It may fall short if you expect a four-star hotel, but it's definitely better than many three-star places.
