Nami Nha Trang Hotel

The location was decent, but the room was nothing like the clean room with a kitchen shown online. Ours was filthy, the beds had awful-looking stains, ants were all over the place, the bathroom smelled terrible, and even the furniture was starting to mold. Service said we’d get a refund for the experience, then refused when we asked. It was a horrible stay, and the online photos made the disappointment worse. Places like this can leave people with a bad impression of small hotels in Vietnam. The rooms smell repulsive and have bugs and mold.

We had booked six weeks, starting last January, because the rate looked incredibly good for a long stay. Fortunately, I chose to pay at check-in, since we left after seeing the room. The newly refurbished room we were meant to have had been given to somebody else, and we were put in an old, dirty, noisy room on the first floor. Management had confirmed we’d get the best room. We’d even agreed to pay a higher rate for the first two weeks over Chinese New Year, despite that rate being above the price guaranteed through booking.com.

Everything was fine until I paid. I stayed here for about a month, and it was a disgrace. They didn’t clean every day or reliably leave clean towels, and the staff barely paid attention to me. The walls had peeling paint, and reception was indifferent. It’s a hotel with problem after problem. I won’t stay here again.

At 11 pm we came back to find that the hotel they’d sent us to for two nights didn’t exist, so we had nowhere to stay. We’d booked eight nights here, but on arrival the receptionist said there was a bathroom problem and our room wasn’t available. They said we could stay at another hotel for two nights, then return at 21:00 to check in again. That place was 1 km away. They called a taxi but didn’t pay for it. When we returned, they wouldn’t refund our reservation. I’d read reviews describing problems like this and got suspicious straight away. Sadly, the bad reviews were true. They’re scamming people. Don’t book here.
