Navy Hotel Cam Ranh

This has more of a serious business feel than a family holiday resort, and the breakfast was decent. The room was also spacious and good. It’s an unusual hotel because the government, specifically the navy, runs it, as the name suggests. Being welcomed by actual Vietnamese navy men gives the place a distinctive atmosphere.

For a generally good standard, the price is reasonable. Breakfast service was lacking for me: there were very few options, and when it was served there weren’t enough eggs for everyone. This is a real Navy hotel with military staff, so tourism doesn’t seem to be its main focus. I’d suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks if you might get hungry or thirsty there. One thing to know: the large water bottle left on the table beside the two small ones is charged, while the two small bottles are free.

We found this hotel through Agoda reviews. It’s in Cam Ranh, around 3 km from Cam Ranh International airport. Our instinct was right: it turned out to be a modern place with new, spacious, tidy rooms. At first we assumed it was only for navy personnel, since so many of the staff, including guards and receptionists, are soldiers. But they were friendly and willing to help whenever we needed something. Their dedication and way of working also inspired my kids and brought out our patriotism toward our country. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Khanh Hoa and want a safe hotel at a reasonable price.

We spent one night and day at the Navy hotel and had a lovely stay. The room was large, about 28 square meters, with modern furniture, a good shower and a comfortable bed. The hotel itself was new and clean, with a nice pool and a tasty breakfast. Everyone on staff greeted us warmly with smiles and hellos. Manager Son and his team have done a good job. We’ll come back and recommend this place.
