Queen Ann Nha Trang

The new hotel has beautifully renovated rooms, with clear attention to comfort and detail. Most of our preferences were taken into account, and the varied breakfast was interesting. We enjoyed the stunning private pool, the two restaurants, the frequent promotions, and the little complimentary extras. Overall, we liked our stay and would be happy to come back. Communication was difficult, though. Other than reception, most staff, including the waitresses and tourist desk representative, spoke no English at all, not even basic words. The beach staff were the biggest disappointment, especially the man in charge of sunbeds. He shouted at guests and was rude and aggressive. That felt completely out of line and unlike the respectful, kind Vietnamese hospitality we’ve come to know. We were shocked, and hope the hotel improves staff training and communication with guests.

The views are great, there’s plenty of food, and service is generous throughout. We tried the spa and I’d recommend the body massage. They upgraded our rooms, and the upper floor was a real treat. It’s easy to see why this hotel is so popular, with everything you need available. There are huge crowds from around the world, including Russia and China, so it’s not exactly peaceful and quiet. For me, though, the money and experience in Nha Trang were well worth it.

The staff were kind and attentive, service was prompt, and we felt very well looked after. The hotel food was really good, and the free shuttle to and from the airport was especially helpful. We had laundry done and several meals, including room service, for very little cost. For the price, this place can’t be beat. We felt like royalty. A few details: water pressure could be better, but it wasn’t terrible and the water was always hot when we needed it. Staff double-checked before adding extra charges. The rooms were cleaned and the bedding changed every day. We know because we spilled pasta sauce on ours by accident and came back to find everything fresh. The beach is right across the road, with a private area where every room gets access to a beach chair and towels. The location is about a 30-minute walk from the main market, but there are several eateries, laundry shops, and gift shops nearby. The rooftop dining has an amazing view.

The balcony had a lovely sea view, and the pool and sauna were both nice. Breakfast was really good, though they shut it down as soon as the hours are up, even with a long serving window. They also give free tea and coffee in the afternoon and offered us a free ride to the airport at checkout. From check-in to checkout, the service was fantastic. Our modern, clean room worked great, and housekeeping finished quickly to a high standard while we were at breakfast. I’d have liked a sliding door between the bedroom and living area, but it wasn’t a big deal. We loved staying here and would choose it again in Nha Trang.
