Shoho Hotel Nha Trang

I stayed for three weeks and was happy with everything. The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly, and I felt safe leaving my things in the room. The same helpful cleaning lady came each day. It's down a local alley with lots of restaurants nearby, and the beach is just around the corner. There was plenty of local life, with travelers fitting in easily.

The hard mattress was the real problem for me. The pillows were hard too and hurt my ears after a while, so getting proper sleep was difficult. I'd come to a hotel hoping to catch up after a couple of rough weeks with little sleep over New Year in Malaysia. Aside from that, I had no worries. Huong, the smiling receptionist, welcomed me and checked me in quickly; he's a cool guy and made sure I had what I needed. The hotel has a lift, and my room looked like the photos, tastefully decorated though a little tired in spots. I liked the shower setup with its glass partition. Shampoo and shower gel were provided, along with cable TV, a fridge, free coffee and water, a small seating area, and plenty of wardrobe storage with hangers and shelves. It's a great little place, with shops and eateries right outside and the beach a five-minute walk away.

A clean, tidy, and very quiet hotel in a great location. The staff are friendly, and I visit from time to time.

We picked this small hotel mainly because it's close to the beach, which we wanted to try and liked. The side street is fairly quiet, and we had no problems during our stay. The main receptionist speaks good English, there's an elevator, and there was enough room for our suitcases so we didn't have to put them on the floor. WiFi worked well. My wife liked the tiles and style, and it seemed to have been renovated in recent years.
