Sunrise Ocean View Apartment

Sensational!

I booked an apartment through this agent on Booking.com two months ahead. He messaged me on WhatsApp right away, said how great it was, and offered to arrange an airport transfer, which I accepted. Four days before arrival I tried to confirm the details, but he didn’t respond on either WhatsApp or Booking.com. On the day I arrived, I canceled the Booking.com reservation myself. There’s no reception at the apartment, so it would have been impossible to find it. I had to look for a hotel that same day. I don’t recommend this apartment. I also saw reviews from people who had the same problem before.

The apartment we got as a replacement had a balcony and a great view, plus three well-functioning air conditioners in the two-bedroom studio. There was also a fairly large, modern curved flat-screen TV with Wi-Fi. Those were the positives. Everything else felt old and long overdue for renovation. The bed linen was outdated, and a single or 1.5-size duvet had been put inside a double duvet cover. The toilet smelled and the shower was weak. This replacement was at least acceptable, unlike the place we originally booked, which didn’t match the website at all. We felt completely ripped off. The apartments and the building itself are disgusting, with everything old and unrenovated, and the price doesn’t match the quality. They may even cheat you when you book. The elevator is incredibly slow and stuffy, and the wait for it is terrifying. The hallways are stuffy too. Getting from the apartment out to the street can take 10-15 minutes, leaving you sweaty and irritated.

The apartment is bright and roomy, and the view from the window is lovely. But getting upstairs is a pain: there aren't enough elevators for all the apartments, so we've waited 20 minutes for one. The photos also gave a different impression from the actual apartment, which badly needs renovation. Cleaning wasn't good either.
