The Sol Hotel

We were on a family tour in Nha Trang and spent two days at The Sol Hotel over Tet 2026. Room 305 was nice and very clean, with ten coat hangers, which came in handy. The staff gave good service, and the beach is about a ten-minute walk away. The breakfast buffet had quite a bit of variety, though the selection was limited. The lobby wasn't air-conditioned, so it got a little hot.

The friendly, helpful gentleman at reception was a bright spot, but we still left two days earlier than planned. The hotel was adequate, though it felt more like a three-star place than a four-star one. The biggest issues were the appliances and upkeep. The air conditioning needs servicing urgently: after only a few minutes switched on, it smelled awful, even in the breakfast room. The room's refrigerator looked very old and yellowish, and it warmed things instead of cooling them. The balconies were extremely small. I also avoided looking at the dining room air conditioner because it was covered in dust and might have put me off my food.

We stayed in room 1601 and only came back to sleep, so the room was fine for us. It had a balcony. The receptionists don't speak Russian, but they understood us, and communicating through a translator worked without any problems. They were always ready to help. The towels were snow-white, though they don't use fabric softener when washing them. The food is simple, but you won't go hungry. We went to breakfast at the beginning and at the end of the service, and everything was replenished each time. The dishes were clean and had no chips. There were several kinds of fruit and two kinds of meat, plus vegetables. There were also several types of baked goods, though I didn't try them, so I can't say how they tasted. The tables were always clean, and the restaurant wasn't crowded.

We're staying here as two couples and have loved the place. The rooms are clean, housekeeping is excellent, and breakfast is delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. For my wife's birthday, they surprised her with a cake and a gift, which was such a lovely touch. Excellent service, and we'd highly recommend it.
