V Hotel Nha Trang

Breakfast tasted good to me as an Asian, but there wasn't much variety in the food or drinks. It could use different kinds of tea bags and a coffee machine. We paid almost the highest room rate, as listed on Booking.com, yet our room was quite small, dim, and had a limited view. Street noise came through even on a high floor, and I couldn't sleep well without the earplugs I use in hostels. The receptionist insisted we pay cash at first. We couldn't find a nearby exchange shop, and the ATMs around were local ones that didn't accept Visa or MasterCard. It felt terrible from the first hour. We went back and pointed out that the system said it accepted various payment methods, and then he let us pay by card. I'd rate the hotel three stars, as it deserves.

I was there for three nights in Dec 2025, and they upgraded my room to one with a very nice city view. Breakfast was nearly identical each of the three days, and the pillow was too soft. The lobby staff were helpful in calling my bus to Dalat. The hotel is centrally located near the beach, but it wasn't noisy.

At least the room was clean, the bed was quite comfortable, and the location was pretty central. Still, all the little problems added up, and I can't recommend staying here. There seem to be better places at the same price, though you'd be fine if you had no other choice. The air conditioner only worked sometimes, and from what I heard from other guests, that happened in many rooms. Our room smelled noticeably of cigarettes. Breakfast was poor, with little day-to-day variety, and most three-star hotels I've stayed at did it much better. We had to ask reception for more toilet paper because housekeeping left only the roll on the holder, even when it was nearly empty. They had a whole bag of spare rolls under the desk, so this seemed common. The staff gave the impression they didn't want to be there and were doing the bare minimum, though that may not really be the case. In our room, the bathroom wall was glass with stickers that thankfully stopped anyone seeing through it, but light still came through. If one of us switched on the bathroom light at night, it lit up the room and woke everyone else. Also, the first main photo on this Google listing shows a different hotel. I'm not sure whose fault that is, perhaps Google being weird. None of these things would be a big deal alone, but there were so many of them.

The front desk staff came across as professional and well trained, and I appreciated their service-minded attitude. When I had a small issue, they rearranged things quickly and smoothly. The hotel is right by the market and only a few steps from the seaside, which is very convenient. I'd definitely return and recommend it to others.
