We were woken from a deep sleep by the dogs in the shack beside the hotel steps. They barked late at night and early in the morning, and it happened almost every night. Staff wouldn't deal with it, even though the dogs were allowed to roam outside and disturb guests. I also couldn't get a message to management: inquiries sent through Agoda came back to me instead. We were stuck for two weeks because we couldn't cancel, but left VieLa as soon as we could and found a much better hotel near the beach with breakfast included. I would never recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this quiet, cosy apartment for two months and liked it. It's near the sea, and at night we didn't hear music or street noise. The room has a kitchen with the utensils we needed, plus a balcony, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a TV. Everything was excellent, and the girl at reception was friendly, helpful and spoke English.

The washing machine was a big plus, and the owners were friendly. My room was clean and I had a nice stay. The area can get a bit loud on weekends, but it's quiet on workdays.

Staff often came into my room without permission, and my eye mask went missing. I don't know whether any money was taken, since I hadn't counted what was in my wallet. I've stayed at several hotels here, and there are plenty in this price range that are very clean. There's no need to choose this one.

The receptionist was friendly, and the hotel was good for the price, so I can't complain much. It would have been better if they'd left detergent with the washing machine. The balcony on the top floor is nice too, if you have time to use it.
