We were left scrambling to find another hotel, standing on the street with our bags on a hot day. We’d emailed the 1991 Hotel to confirm, arrived at around 3pm as planned, and had a confirmed room through Agoda. Still, they told us there was no room available, with no explanation beyond “NO ROOMS Available.” I’d seen Agoda comments saying this was a recurring problem, but thought perhaps those guests had arrived late or failed to confirm. We weren’t late, and we had contacted the hotel ahead of time. Very unprofessional, terrible experience. Steer clear.

I’m laughing at some of the complaints here 😆😆, though I can’t speak for the other rooms. Mine was on the second floor facing the street, and it was generally okay, nothing too bad. The staff’s attitude was fine too. The best part for me was the location, with lots of cafes and restaurants close by, including some open 24/7.
