Meraki Oasis Hotel

The one decent thing was that the hotel agreed without any trouble to cancel the two nights I had left. I’d planned to stay three nights, but after just one, I knew staying longer would be a mistake. I left tired and irritated, and I’m certain I won’t return. The room did nothing to help me sleep. It had no soundproofing, so breakfast prep woke me at 4 a.m., then renovation noise started at 7. There was drilling, hammering, and dust everywhere, though none of that had been mentioned beforehand. Dust had spread into the common areas too. The hotel was old, run-down, and under renovation. The bed was hard as a plank, and the pillows felt like a test for your neck and back. The beach and pool were dirty and poorly maintained, so I had no desire to use them. At breakfast, staff started clearing and packing things away while I was still eating, which made it feel like I’d already overstayed. For me, letting me cancel the remaining nights was the most professional part of the stay.
