Muine Bay Resort

The resort is beautifully laid out and very well kept, with stunning views and modern, comfortable rooms that show a lot of attention to detail. I had a wonderful stay. The gym was the letdown: there was very little equipment, and what was there wasn't in good condition, making it hard to use. If fitness matters to you during a stay, that's a significant part of the experience. I strongly recommend the resort put more into upgrading and maintaining the gym. The views and rooms are lovely, and the resort is fantastic, but better gym facilities would make the stay feel complete.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a pleasant sea view from the balcony. Housekeeping was good, the pool area looked appealing and was clean, and the staff were polite and smiling. Those were the bright spots of my three-night stay at Miune Bay Resort, February 19-22, for €400 in an Ocean Panorama Double with Balcony. The biggest problem was breakfast. It was advertised from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, but each day by 9:00 am about 80% of the buffet trays were empty. Tables hadn't been cleared, drinks were gone, and nobody was actively refilling things. Organization and supervision were visibly lacking. After two days of this, I went to management myself. They said “the staff is overwhelmed.” They offered a complimentary drink, which I refused, and also offered to make us a special plate, which I turned down. This isn't about the price of a dish, which ranges from €5-10. It's about service standards and respect for guests who are paying. At €400 for three nights with breakfast at a place marketed as a 5-star resort, I'd expect the buffet to be operating properly during its stated hours. There were other issues too. The restaurant menu was only in English and Vietnamese, with no dish photos, QR translation, or staff guidance for international guests. The beach was poorly maintained, with visible sandbags and unattractive access. At 2:30 pm, the pool umbrellas were closed because of wind, leaving guests in the 30°C sun. The hotel is isolated, so taxis are needed to reach other dining options. The room quality was acceptable, but the service organization, breakfast management, and overall experience didn't meet international 5-star standards. The hotel has potential, though it needs significant operational improvements to justify its rating and prices.

Lunch was cheap and amazing, and the rooms were looked after very well. It's a great resort in a great location, with friendly staff, though getting drinks during the day could be slow. Breakfast was chaotic, with long waits for poor coffee and only a limited choice of food. The beach just outside wasn't swimmable, with red and black flags always out, and it was covered in rubbish. The gym needs work too, with free weights missing. A great place overall, but it needs some improvements to become exceptional.

Our family spent 2D1N here, and it was a lovely getaway for the price. The property and our rooms were spacious, so it suited us well for walking around and spending time together. The decor felt carefully chosen, and the whole place was nicely furnished. We were greeted with refreshing drinks and personal messages on the TV screens. It's right on the beachfront, though a bit far from the town center, and the beach here was much more beautiful than many others in Mui Ne. There are two pools, both guarded, and breakfast had a good variety of options. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful when we had trouble with jellyfish, which must have been jellyfish season. The spa is available, but book ahead because demand is high. A couple of things could be better. I was on the Ground floor and found the soundproofing lacking, so it got noisy at times. Getting around the property could be more convenient too: calling reception for a buggy and waiting wasn't always ideal. The entertainment area felt underwhelming. Still, it was a wonderful stay and good value, just right for a relaxing family escape.
