The new interior is a big change. The floors now have new carpets, the bathrooms are new, and the walls have fresh paint. It looks new and smells fresh, with that old cigarette smell gone. I’ve visited once or twice a year for 6 years, so I was really surprised they refurbished this iconic hotel. Much appreciated! The strong garden lights at night are the one downside. They make it feel more like a prison ward than a hotel, so sitting on the balcony in the evening is really uncomfortable.

There’s only a thick curtain in the room, so people outside can see in if you want natural light. The toilet facilities are poor.

We spent two nights here for a weekend away with friends, but the staff weren’t very friendly and the service was poor. I asked if they could help charge my device, but was told they weren’t allowed and had no spare adapters to lend. They kept telling us to buy one at a local supermarket.

For 90K Dong, you get a nice towel and access to a beautifully landscaped pool area. We came just to use the pools, and one is great for swimming laps. The staff are very friendly and everything is well maintained. A lovely place to spend an afternoon.

We came as part of an organised cycling tour. The hotel has a lovely setting, with a large lawn leading down to the beach and a paved path that runs a long way along the shore. The food selection was overwhelming for someone like me who eats simply, and breakfast had the same kind of spread. The town centre is quite a walk, 2km or more, though there are other places to eat and drink nearby if you want to explore.
