Radisson Resort Phan Thiet

The breakfast buffet and private beach were the best parts for me, and the resort is family friendly. Reception was pleasant and the room cleaning was good. My deluxe room felt a little small, though. They provide just two free bottles of water, with each extra one costing about $2, but there's a convenience store across the road where you can buy more. It's quite far from downtown, where the nightlife and local food are. There's a cheap local banh xeo seafood place across the road that's really good and well worth trying. I expected more from this US brand and its reputation, which is why I'm giving it four stars.

2.5/5 The beach and pool were pleasant, and the heated pool was especially nice after an evening swim in the sea. Our room was reasonably clean. The face towels felt worn and rough, and the floors in the hallways, lobby and breakfast area could have been cleaner and better maintained. The lobby was very hot when we arrived and again while waiting to leave, as there was only one fan near reception. We'd been approved for checkout at 12:30 PM, but the front office team hadn't passed that information along, and at 12:10 PM someone called our room to ask when we were checking out. Breakfast seemed short staffed. One person appeared to be handling all the table cleaning and needed help, though she was kind and helpful. Glasses and utensils were replenished slowly, and the coffee machine splashed drinks while dispensing, as if it wasn't calibrated properly. After we left, we realised our AirPods were missing. We contacted the hotel right away. The front office replied quickly by email and followed up by phone, but said nothing had been found in the room. We could still locate the AirPods within the hotel, and they were being opened and used after our departure. We clearly remembered last using them during a meeting in the room and leaving them on the bed. That left us concerned about housekeeping, which was disappointing. At another property in the same hotel chain in Mui Ne, the team checked our room within minutes of checkout and promptly returned belongings we'd forgotten without even realising it. I wouldn't stay here again.

The setting was beautiful, with lovely views and cool, refreshing weather, and the resort made us feel well looked after. The team was proactive and quick to respond throughout our stay. We booked through the third-party site ivivu, but it was clear that the resort cared about giving guests a personal experience. We had a wonderful time. The standard suite was good, but I'd strongly recommend upgrading because the other types have lift access and the standard ones don't. There was a small snag at the end when the credit card deposit got stuck and didn't show up on my bank statement. They were able to assign someone to help me sort it out, and I really appreciated all the support. An T.

The bungalow was nice and felt worth the price, and the room was good. Reception service was super friendly. Breakfast, though, turned what should have been a great stay into a bad experience. When we arrived, nobody greeted us, so we had to look around for someone to seat us. Even then, most staff ignored us and didn't look at us when we spoke to them. It wasn't even busy. They wouldn't answer our questions, and came across as really rude. One breakfast staff member, Trang, was attentive, and that's the only reason I gave two stars instead of one.
