This was one of the best homestays we’ve had in Vietnam, and it was extremely affordable. We had a lovely breakfast overlooking the river. When we arrived very late, the owner arranged a pickup from the bus station, and the night before had organized tours to Phong Nga Cave, Paradise Cave, the botanical gardens, and a duck farm. They even let us shower after checkout. The only awkward thing was that the bathroom walls didn’t reach the ceiling, which felt a bit odd when traveling with friends. Also, the credit card machine was broken when we got there, so we had to pay cash, though they did accept US currency. I’d highly recommend staying here in Phong Nha.

Lan, the owner, was so friendly and helpful. She got up at 3am to let us check in after our late arrival. We could use the bikes and the breakfast was free too. Such a lovely homestay, highly recommend it if you’re coming to Phong Nha!

The host was lovely and the location was nice, but this wasn’t the stay for me. It was the noisiest homestay I’ve ever been in. An excited French family lived next door, having a great time, and the walls are paper-thin. Their kids were excited until midnight; maybe my snoring until early morning balanced things out.
